Live pre-selections in Château de Versailles for ANCIENT AND BAROQUE REPERTOIRE
The Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition for the 2022 edition, the one that celebrates the centenary of the soprano’s birth, launches an absolute novelty: the competition format provides a live pre-selection, a real audition which, if passed, will allow the access to the semi-finals of September, scheduled, as usual, in San Marino.
For the Ancient and Baroque repertoire, the live pre-selections are scheduled for 8th May at the Château de Versailles and will be open for candidates who register by 20th April; places are limited and will be assigned, at the discretion of the jury chaired by the artistic director of the competition Angelo Nicastro, among those who have expressed the will to participate.
The venue is certainly not accidental, the President of the Jury for the section Ancient and Baroque will in fact be Laurent Brunner Director of the “Château de Versailles Spectacles” who, as per regulation, will offer a contract / writing to the First Prize Winner.
