Akilbek Piyazov wins the 11th Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition – Opera Section
The 11th Renata Tebaldi Voice Competition – Opera Section has announced its winners following the final round of the prestigious international competition.
The First Prize was awarded to Akilbek Piyazov, Uzbek baritone. The Second Prize went to Iana Aivazian, Armenian soprano, while Sunghoon Han, South Korean bass, received the Third Prize.
Several special awards and performance opportunities were also presented:

- the “Ambassadors of Verdi” Special Prize, for the Bergonzi Festival in Busseto, was awarded to Sara Di Fusco, Italian soprano and semifinalist;
- the Special Prize offered by Soroptimist Club of San Marino, presented to the youngest finalist, went to Iana Aivazian, Armenian soprano;
- Alessia Battini, Italian soprano, received the opportunity to perform in a concert in São Paulo, Brazil, for Cia Opera São Paulo, as well as a concert offered by the Fondazione Leone Magiera;
- Fondazione Angelo Masini selected Alessia Battini, Italian soprano, and Enrico Park, South Korean tenor, for a concert;
- Angelo Mariani Association Prize, a recital at the Teatro Alighieri as part of the Ravenna Musica season on March 1st, 2027, was awarded to Florentine Schumacher, German soprano, and to Enrico Park, South Korean tenor;
- the Audience Prize and the Critics’ Prize were both awarded to Florentine Schumacher, German soprano.

The competition also congratulates the other finalists: Heyyoung Moon, South Korean soprano; Haewon Lee, South Korean baritone; and Manami Maejima, Japanese mezzo-soprano.
