Dimitri Betti graduated in Early Keyboards with honor at the Conservatories of La Spezia, Florence and Vienna. He specialized with Enrico Gatti, Richard Egarr, Bob Van Asperen and Christophe Rousset. He has also won scholarships at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague (Holland) to specialize with Ton Koopman, at the Scuola Civica in Milan and at the Fondazione Cini in Venice. He has performed as a solo and continuist player, and as a conductor, with the Mozarteum orchestra in Salzburg, Le Parlement de Musique and the Weimarer Akademie Orchester conducted by Helmuth Rilling. Betti has played in several Italian festivals (Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Ravenna Festival and Anima Mundi) as well as in Europe (France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Poland and Holland), where he has worked as a teacher of Baroque and Medieval music. He is now an accompanist at the “B. Maderna“ Conservatory in Cesena and at the “L. Cherubini“ Conservatory in Florence, a cantor and organist at the Cappella Musicale of the Basilica di San Lorenzo, and a researcher and advisor for Giunti Psychometrics.

Betti has been a finalist in several international competitions. He has recorded CDs published by Brilliant Classics, Bongiovanni and Classic Voice Antiqua, and he has played for Rai5, Rai Radio 3 and Swiss, German and Australian radio stations.
